Christmas 2012, I got a Nikon point & shoot camera that launched me into doing shoots with friends. These were the ones where we wore fairy wings we got at Dollar Tree and ran around. I took this camera everywhere.

During school, I was always known as the "girl with the camera" since my camera was almost always with me. I hadn't really thought about the world of weddings before this time. A family friend began to mentor me and I photographed my first wedding this year. I worked with him until I 2021, where I then began to build into my own business.

For my birthday I went on a 2 week road trip across California, Nevada, and Utah. This was a life changing trip where I met friends. Photographing at the Salt Flats, Zion, Vegas, and Joshua Tree, I began to find my style. This was the year my business began to take off.

Photography was something I fell into, but travel is the lifelong passion and calling. From a young age, I found inspiration in exploring, even if it was just my backyard. The desire to go international began when I was just 7 years old. This was because I was obsessed with the Mamma Mia Musical and went for my 7th birthday, but it grew as I got older. August 2023 I got the chance to spend 3 weeks abroad, visiting London, Paros, Skopelos, Athens, and Lisbon. Now, all I want to do is go back, so if you're thinking about a destination wedding... count me in!

Photography has become my lifelong passion and calling, allowing me to express myself and connect with the world in a way words could never capture. From a young age, I found solace and inspiration in freezing moments that convey emotions and tell stories without uttering a single word.

What makes photos important? Why do we take them ?

Printing your photos to be put on display instead of hiding on your phone or computer is a wonderful way to maintain and share the stories of those in the frame. My favorite physical keepsake are polaroids. These are photos of faces and places I don't recognize, but they still exist 30... 40+ years later. We take them because we want to preserve and share our stories. No matter the occasion of your photos, you capture the emotions of the moment, and that then lives on forever. Don't stop taking photos, whether you are having them taken professionally or on your phone, keep capturing.

Photos are immortal. Most of us carry around a camera in our pocket, grabbing quick pictures of friends & family, maybe one for Instagram. While we are constantly taking these pictures, we are also letting them slip by us. What we do after the photos are taken is so integral and a huge part of myself and my business. I bet you have boxes of photos from generations past, somewhere hiding in your attic or a closet. Life passes by way too fast, that preserving and ensuring these photos is so important.
